Resonating an awe-inspiring alto with heavenly harmonies, 16-year-old songbird Shyann releases her infectious debut single “Shawty” featuring Hussch Boy Recordings artist Famous Kid Brick. On the up-tempo dance anthem, this sensuous songbird serenades the boy of her dreams over free-spirited production.
“Shawty” is Shyann’s breakthrough lead single from the early 2013 release of her forthcoming Edgestone Music Group independent debut EP I’m Just A Girl due to be released in Spring.
Soon over the horizon is the accompanying music video for “Shawty.” The video is directed by south Florida eagle eye Misfit HD and due to shake up national video outlets to cap off the new year.
“I’m a fresh, new female singer with amazing talent and that’s what I bring to this record,” says Shyann. “It’s the kind of record that you just can’t deny...Hearing it is breathtaking but to see the video is an experience within itself.”
Performing since she was two, this St. Petersburg songstress has been winning the hearts of audiences from her native Florida all the way up the East Coast. Beginning as an aspiring young actress, she has shared the stage with the likes of Tommy Ford (most known for his role as “Tommy” on hit sitcom “Martin”). Shyann became the first person to ever open for her native St. Petersburg’s annual “Dr. Martin Luther King’s Battle of the Bands” contest and made her national television appearance bringing down the house on “It’s Showtime At the Apollo.”
Along with that, she opened a show for Grammy Award-winning artist LL Cool J at the Tampa Rays’ Summer Concert Tour at Tropicana Field. And in November 2010, she performed as the opening act for R&B super group Boy II Men at the Lincolnville Festival in St. Augustine, Fla.
Now after making her mark as a star on the rise, Shyann sets is off with her breakthrough single “Shawty” featuring Hussch Boy Recordings artist Famous Kid Brick. She is also awaiting the accompanying video set to debut in February. But she shows her true talents with the Spring release of her forthcoming Edgestone Music Group independent debut EP I’m Just A Girl.
“I’ve been singing and performing almost all my life. And I work hard at it,” she says. “The rush I get from singing and the reaction that I always get when I perform makes me feel like I’m already a superstar! I’m excited for what the future holds.”
